A Danish study of more than 1 million women and teenage girls recently confirmed that the pill and other types of hormonal contraception may increase the risk of depression. Research on the link between contracetion and depression has been mixed, even though mood swings are a well-documented reason for women to stop using birth control, so this study is an important step towards eliminating the correlation.
