By the end of 2017, Apple plans on producing and delivering original content. The streaming service will cost roughly $10 a month and is intended to help Apple compete with its streaming rivals like Spotify and Netflix. Considering Spotify has 40 million paid subscribers, double the number Apple has, this plan to create original content should increase Apple's offerings on Apple Music. In addition to that, Apple could perhaps use the extra money as it faces declining iPad and iPhone sales.
