Tests Show Tesla Autopilot Sensors Can be Fooled in Certain Scenarios

Tests Show Tesla Autopilot Sensors Can be Fooled in Certain Scenarios

More bad news for Tesla. A team of hackers, in an attempt to prove the car's security, was able to reach the autopilot feature and trick the car into an altered moving pattern. Granted, this was only a test performed by professionals with expensive equipment, but the very possibility of a cyberattack on someone's car is concerning.

Tesla misses Q2 earnings, delivers 14,402 vehicles

Tesla misses Q2 earnings, delivers 14,402 vehicles

Despite the high-end electric car company's brilliant marketing, Tesla's economic performance has failed to live up to projections. Tesla's initially vow to sell 80,000 cars by the end of the year is practically a pipe dream halfway through 2016. Fortunately for Tesla the new Model 3 has a well-sized waiting list, but the company won't sell 66,000 vehicles no matter how quickly their plants can produce.

Master Plan, Part Deux

Master Plan, Part Deux

Eccentric billionaire and Tesla founder Elon Musk wrote an update blog post about the future direction of the self-driving, electric near-luxury car brand. Musk was adamant about solar energy, which will lead to sustainability for the human race. He also emphasized the autopilot systems, and a feature where owners synchronize their car with a Tesla phone app, and pay for the car only when the Tesla is in use. Musk has big dreams and big pockets, and he never fails to entertain.

Self-driving Mercedes-Benz bus takes a milestone 12-mile trip

Benz bus, self-driving, is this real life?

The German automaker's successful test of an autonomous bus in the Netherlands provides a spark for driverless transportation. The venture required the bus to drive through tunnels, follow traffic signals, and avoid people on the road. Mercedes-Benz spent a lot thought designing the inside of the bus, and it clearly shows.
