Known as a female powerhouse within the tech world, Marissa Mayer has been under scrutiny as soon as she started working as Google's 20th employee in 1999. In recent years, Mayer has made a name for herself beyond Google as Yahoo's CEO. Closing out her deal to sell Yahoo to Verizon earlier this week, Mayer discusses the nuances of working 130 hours a week and being a mom.

Google’s been quietly recording your voice; here’s how to listen to—and delete—the archive

Google knows everything about your past. It knows the location of your previous vacations, the questions you orate, and the pitch of your voice. It's a little creepy.

If you are slightly paranoid, you have good reason. Fortunately, you can delete your Google history by reaching www.history.google.com, which has all your random questions, and choosing which items you want Google to delete. Or, you can listen to how your younger self sounded and complain about much higher your voice was.

Google will soon start punishing mobile sites that show hard-to-dismiss popups

Thank. Goodness. Starting next January, Google will crack down on sites with bothersome pop up adds by lowering their Google Search rank (page rank). The caveat is that Google will allow popups that actually contribute value to the website's content or the user's search to remain unaffected, as these pop-ups aren't considered pesky spam.

Android Nougat comes out of beta

Google's Nougat has left beta mode, and is now available for most Nexus phone models, the General Mobile 4G and the Pixel C Tablet. Major changes include a notifications overhaul, combining all notifications into one centralized app.
