As Election Day approaches, voting-related Google searches are spiking dramatically amid a flurry of online interest in the election. Google notes that searches for “how to vote” between Oct. 1 and Nov. 1 were 233% higher than they were during the same time period for the 2012 election.

The audio search technology relies on artificial intelligence and has been likened to a “Google for sound.” It can be used like a search engine that’s capable of surfacing phrases found in audio files.
